Nostrification rules
At UJ CM, nostrification is handled by the Faculty of Medicine (medicine and dentistry programmes) and the Faculty of Health Sciences, which covers, among others, nursing and midwifery diplomas from outside the European Union.
Faculty of Medicine
- Applications: from 1 October to 31 March.
- You need sworn translations and a CV in Polish.
- The committee compares your study programme with the Polish one.
- The faculty page does not say who accepts applications and gives no contact for nostrification matters.
Faculty of Health Sciences
- Applications: from 1 October to 31 March. The decision is made within 90 days.
- You need a positive statement on the diploma (informacja o dyplomie) from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), via the SYRENA system.
The scientific categories were awarded to the Jagiellonian University as a whole.
Exams and verification of knowledge
Faculty of Medicine: if there are differences between the study programmes, the dean sets exams or placements and decides the exam conditions together with the subject coordinator. You can take the exam only once.
